Meet Holly Forrest

Holly Forrest has been working with dogs since 2012, combining her passion for animals with extensive education to help dogs and their families thrive. A Fear Free Certified and CPDT-KA certified trainer, Holly graduated from Sue McMullen’s Canine Academy and has honed her skills through years of private training and teaching group classes, including her time with A Leg Up in Toronto. She has proudly opened her business in 2013.

Over the years, Holly has helped dogs with a wide range of challenges—from puppy development and basic obedience to behaviour modification for separation anxiety, aggression, and resource guarding. Her approach is rooted in positive reinforcement and Fear Free techniques, emphasizing trust, communication, and strong bonds between dogs and their humans.

Holly’s commitment to learning never stops—she regularly attends seminars, pursues additional certifications, and collaborates with colleagues to stay on top of the latest science and best practices in dog behaviour.

At home, Holly lives the philosophy she teaches. She balances her work with family life, sharing her home with her 11-year-old daughter, 9-year-old son, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Olive, cat Sammy Pumpkin, and a 6 month old Flat-Coated Retriever. Holly’s personal and professional life reflects her dedication to helping dogs and their families build happy, harmonious relationships.
